Along Tidbits

Alrighty then.  It appears we have more than the hermit twins (aka Cathy and myself) on board for the 2006 ABC-Along.  Who would have suspected that more than 2 or 3 people would want in on the fun?   We are currently up to 50 members - and proof, if indeed it was needed, that if you want sumptin to happen, just get Norma involved with it. 

I think I now have everyone added to my sidebar links that has emailed me, but if you asked to be included and don't see your name, let me know.  It is entirely possible I inadverantly missed someone - apologies.

I did set up a ring, which I'm thinking we may need if we get anyone else signed up.  However, being technically somewhat deficient, I am unable to figure out how to put the code for the uber cool button into it, so if there is someone that cares to point me in the right direction, that'd be really helpful and most appreciated - and then everyone can just access the fun thru the ring. (**Edit:  Thanks to help from Carole, I think we are now in business with the ring.  I can't get the code to stick in the ring setup, but I have successfully stuck it in mine and if you want to join the ring and have issues getting the button in place, email me and I can send you the code that I got to work for me.**)

To clarify a few points that were asked: 

• Yes, you do in fact need a blog to participate.  Gonna be hard to post photos without one.
• There is not a specific date on which you have to post photos.  Anytime within the 2-week block is fine with me.  So..... photo #1 (the "A" entry) would be posted sometime between January 1, 2006 and January 14, 2006.  Photo #2 (the "B" entry) would be posted sometime between January 15 and January 28, 2006. 

Make sense?  Okay... moving on then.

I am in the home stretch on a big project - the Blue Heron Yarns kimono jacket - which has undergone several.... ahem... design changes along the way.  I have one more cuff to knit up and attach, a few ends to darn in and then the sucker is ready for blocking, and it will be on its way to the hills of Massachusetts in exchange for my dinner dishes.  I have seen pictures of said dishes and they are absolutely stunning.  (And in an odd quirk of fate, they appear to perfectly match two coffee mugs we have owned for 4 or 5 years now, which D and I love.  I just picked my glazing out of ones this potter had examples of, and she's never seen the mugs, but I didn't consciously pick that glazing to match, but so it does!).

We have a quiet couple of days planned here.  Nasty weather in SLC - snow yesterday, rain and high wind today, more snow tonight.  Definitely indoor weather.  D is building some storage shelves for the Wool Vault for me, so we'll be working on those this weekend, and I'm going to try to organize the upstairs yarn closet (yes, yes, I have an upstairs stash too - what if I had to barricade myself in my office? - no way would I be caught in here without something to work on).

And yeah - I am stunned at all the people who thought this sounded like fun. What a way to start the new year.
Tho I do think you should get out that longe whip I gave you to make sure everyone psots appropriately in a timely manner (d&r... with insane laughter. From a safe distance - after all you do have the longe whip)
