Trees. I love trees; I love everything about them. In fact, one of the hardest things about moving from New England to Utah was the problem of having to leave "my" trees behind. And this time of year, when the fall colors of the leaves are so vibrant is my absolute favorite season.

All for now....
Those colors are fabulous! Thanks for posting these lovely trees, Anne.

Wow! How I miss that! Are these the Utah trees? I could take one photo of my palm trees & they'll look in Feb what they'll look like in Aug or Dec. I miss the Fall...

I need to get out with my camera, although "they" are saying another week or two till peak! I actually prefer it here when most of the leaves are down and there's lots of silver against the remaining color.

The middle picture is one you sent me from Vermont. I put it on my desktop as wallpaper in dead of winter when I need color. I agree - there are times I miss riding in the Ozarks this time of year.

Beautiful fall color in those trees! I love the colors, the crispness, the smells in the air. *crackle*crackle*crunch* underfoot (oops, acorn too)!

I agree! I also grew up in New England and I miss the amazing fall color the most. Now we live in Central Oregon (climate similar to Utah), so we have a bit of color, but more yellows than reds and oranges. Our trees which are all only a few years old, put on quite a show this fall. In a few more years it will be more like Massachusetts.

Gorgeous tree photos! Tomorrow I'm going out to check out the foliage in New Jersey; if there's anything good, I'll have pictures!

Nope. Don't have that in Dublin. Closest thing to that type of colour is the 'Virginia Creeper' on my back garden wall. Very lovely pics! By the way, Blogger is terrible about being able to get back to people who leave comments. So, thanks for the carmelized root veg recipe....sounds yum!

The post is beautiful. It is a season of beauty right now in Chicago as well. What a paintbrush nature was given.
