Mini Stash Sale
I was tidying up some things in the Wool Vault and found a few offerings which I'll post here first for sale, and if no takers, then I'll move on to the DeStash blog or eBay.
U.S. shipping is included in all prices and I'm glad to take PayPal or a check (will hold check until it clears). All of these yarns were stored in a large steamer trunk in plastic bags, away from helper kitties and no one in the home is a smoker. (If you are outside the U.S. and have interest, contact me and we'll work a deal on shipping, okey doke?)
- 4 skeins of Lamb's Pride Worsted - 85% wool/15% mohair. (Gone! - Edit 01/13/07)
- There are 190 yards per skein, a total of 760 yards, suggested needles US 8 (4-1/2 sts/inch gauge).
- Color is M-69 (Old Sage).
- $24.00 for all 4 skeins (includes U.S. shipping).
- I bought this for some felted clogs or maybe a bag, but I have moved these skeins twice, so they should go to a home where they will be used.
- Plymouth Sockotta - 45% cotton, 40% superwash, 15% nylon
- 414 yards in this skein, suggested needles US 2 (7 sts/inch)
- Color is #502. It's a self-patterning yarn with denim blue, gray, white and purple.
- $6.50 includes U.S. shipping
- Having knit 1 pair of this yarn in another colorway, I realize I don't like cotton in my socks.
- Marks and Kattens Soft Mohair - 50% mohair, 50% acrylic.
- Color #1330 - a very soft pearly gray, suggested needles 4.5 mm (4-1/2 sts/inch)
- 10 ball, a total of approximately 1750 yards (160 m per ball)
- $50.00 includes US shipping.
- Um. I can't remember what I bought this for and it's been eons ago. It's slightly heavier than Rowan Kidsilk Haze, but still light enough that you could get a simple lace pattern shawl or sweater out of it.
- Cascade 220 - 100% wool. (THIS HAS BEEN SPOKEN FOR - edit 01/13/07)
- Color #9443 - a deep cranberry red with flecks of gray and a slightly brighter red. Suggested needles US 7 or 8 (4-1/2 to 5 sts/inch).
- 10 skeins still sealed in original bag, a total of 2200 yards
- $55.00 includes US shipping.
- I purchased this to knit an Aran cardigan for my mum, who now assures me she will never wear wool. Sigh. This really shows off pattern work - I knit D's AS Aran sweater out of the same yarn last year and it's been wearing like iron.
So, if any of these are of interest or if you have questions, please shoot me an email (the link to my addy is in the sidebar). Hopefully these can go off to new homes where they will be used and loved.
All for now.....

I almost bit; I have promised myself to stick with using up the yarns I have in January, although I have already bought two balls for charity projects, one for a novelty scarf to sell in the shop, and a fourth for a little neck-warmer for myself (it's cold and windy this week)... not really sticking to my plan, eh? You might want to list these on the Destash blog, though.

Well, I guess it's just as well that the yarns I would have snapped up are already gone by the time I was able to get back to blog reading! Lovely stuff....
