A Taste of Winter

True to fall here in Utah, we just moved past it in a day or so, and went on to winter.  We had had lovely temps last week, but a cold wind blowing in from the northwest on Friday ushered in a bit of the white stuff, even here in the valley.  (Ski bums will be delighted to hear the higher elevations got as much as 6 to 8 inches of the white stuff.)  All things being equal, then, it was an okay weekend to have to work.

It's now sunny out, but still.... ahem... brisk this morning (temp around 37 degrees F) here.  Hopefully the weather will hold for the next 36 hours, as I have a family semi-emergency to attend to and will be flying out of town for 3 days.

If you've placed an order through the website in the last day or so, alas, I have to say that it will not likely be filled and shipped until I am back (after Wednesday).  The cooler weather also means skeins of yarn don't dry in 3 hours anymore, so anything that gets dyed today will have to wait until my return to ship out.

Have a great rest of your weekend and stay warm and dry where ever you are!

All for now....

Have a safe trip to, during and from.

Take care!! :)

My brother hasn't seen snow for over two years (he has been on a mission in Brazil). He's attending the Y now and he was ecstatic to see snow fall yesterday.

Have fun on your trip!

Filled bags with green tomatoes yesterday and gave them away. It was "supposed" to be a hard freeze. I even lit the propane heater. It went to 33. If I'd relaxed it would have been 28. At least things will dry better with the heat on.

Good luck with your trip.

Hope things settle out for you and your family.

ooo [shiver], that's chilly... hope things are all ok with your family...

Have a safe trip. I hope it's nothing too dire. The last weather report I saw had nice weather for the next few days.

Sending good thoughts and safe journey vibes your way!

Safe travels and best wishes for a good outcome.

Hope everything is OK with the family...I'll be thinking good thoughts for you!

37 degrees for this time of year (at least in Virginia) is cold! Have a safe trip and I hope the semi-emergency resolves itself well.

hope all is well with you and yours, and have a safe trip. we'll wait

Hugs and hopes for a safe and easy trip!

Take care and I hope things work out (one way or another).

The weather here has been back and forth too, though not quite so cold in the morning (I did have to dig around in the back seat for the ice scraper early Saturday morning, but the frost hasn't hit the garden yet). Have a safe journey.

Oh brrrrrr. I guess it is coming. We are in pure denial here in the midwest. We have been treated to a very much warmer than normal fall. 80s today. We're gonna pay!

Oh My Lord, and we reached 90 degrees today - yes Oct.7th and it's freakin' 90 degrees!! I think Autumn will just skip us and we will go headlong into winter - that seems about right for the weather around here lately!

I hope everything turns out OK. Sending happy thoughts and good Karma your way.
