Project #1:  Lace Diamond Scarf

Look at this! Woot cubed!  (Yes - I know - out of focus - ignore that part).

That little bit is all I have left to put edging on.  I think I have 2 repeats, then the corner, then 7 repeats and the last corner, and then 3 repeat.  I'm going to try like the dickens to finish this and get it off the needles.

Goal:  Finish edging.

Project #2:  Little Child's Socks

Chugging along on this.  I actually did 3 repeats of the leg pattern this week.  No specific goal for this, as I want to concentrate on the scarf this week.

Goal:  None specific; work on this ad lib.

Project #3:  Cobblestone Pullover

I finished up the 16 rows I had set as a goal for myself.  I had D slip this sleeve on and he didn't like the way it kept "flopping in his soup".  Meaning he wanted a tighter fitting sleeve at the cuff.  Okay - I can do that.

Now, shall I cut off the garter stitch and pick up those stitches into just regular ribbing, or should I add a couple of decrease rows and then do a narrower garter stitch cuff (like maybe 6 rounds)?  Any opinions?

Goal:  None (finish scarf!) while I ponder what I want to do to modify the sleeve.

All for now......

Nice progress on the scarf! I have yet to edge something in that way, but I can imagine it would be tedious.

I am enjoying your blog and your scarf is beautiful. I, actually, "googled" overshot weaving and got your blog. Your explanation and pictures are excellent and it helps to understand. I am in a small weaving study group and we are studying overshot right now. I own 2 looms - 4H 24" Baby Wolf, and Kromski Rigid Heddle, along with 3 spinning wheels. I am a juried fiber artist in Feltmaking and I spend the majority of my time with felting, spinning(which I teach) and some knitting. I noticed that you were on Fiber Arts Bloggers and so am I. I'd like to add you to my blog. I noticed you were with typepad, I've got wordpress and blogspot at this point. Thanks for the great blog and keep up the good work!

The scarf is looking great! Gee, I don't know what to say about Cobblestone. The garter stitch cuff looks really nice, but if he wants a tighter cuff, ribbing would be more practical. Helpful, wasn't I?

Hehe - woot woot! The scarf looks beautiful and you've made such progress on the edging. Can't wait to see it all done and blocked! =)

At least he knows what he wants. And down he road, you might be pretty happy his cuff isn't dragging in his soup. I sure would be.

The scarf is gorgeous!

I am AR ... Ribbing would do the job better, if you don't mind the sleeve "band" being different from that of the body.

I'd narrow and use garter myself. It seems like it would fit better overall with the sweater (and soup)

Ohhhh the Scarf Love!! It looks so delicate like a wisp of Air!

The scarf looks great!

My husband doesn't like a loose cuff either. He has to be able to push up his sleeves and have them stay there....or he won't wear it. Picky little thing he is. :)

Even out of focus your scarf is beautiful!!

The stole looks gorgeous.
As for the cuff on Cobblestone - the trouble with garter stitch on cuffs (personal experience here) is even if you make the cuff tighter, it won't "grip" the wrist. I'd recommend doing ribbing. I know it won't fit in with the overall design of the jumper, but no cereal-related-flopping will occur!

scarf loveliness! love the Cobblestone in that grey/blue, but not the one to advise about Cutting into knitting, just the words make al the hairs go up on the back of my neck...

Lace Diamond, soooo close!
For Cobblestone, if it's not too late for an opinion, I'd decrease a few, and maybe also go down a needle size. Or, since there's a ribbing camp, maybe garter rib wouldn't look quite as different. I don't like cuffs in my soup either.
