I've got it. I dunno why, or how contagious it is, so you may wish to avert your eyes from the following.
I'm sure long-time readers are well aware I do currently have things I'm working on - many things, by some estimates - but apparently I needed to start more.
In the last 10 days, I have started on the following:
Item One: Spindle spinning the bag of absolutely gorgeous CVM/angora/angelina roving Cathy gave to me when I was in Colorado for Estes. The angora has had a lot of miles put on it - since it's originally from my bunnies, but I sent it to her, and she had it blended with the wool and angelina into roving, and here it is back in SLC with me again. I'm spinning it up on the "Digger" spindle I commissioned from Crowhill House; Jen does really nice work at a reasonable price, if you are in the market for another spindle.
Item Two: I decided I would/should (?) start spinning up some of the smaller odds and ends I've had marinating in the Wool Vault for-e-v-e-r. I pulled out a 4-ounce bag of some tricolored roving from Crosspatch Creations (one of my favorite vendors) that I bought from Paradise Fibers eons ago. It's got 3 different purple/blue colors with a small amount of multicolored silk noil added into one third of it.
I'm spinning it as a 2-ply fingering-ish weight. Maybe for a smoke ring of some sorts? The CVM is very soft and sproingy; I like this blend a lot.
I also was thumbing through an older copy of Interweave Knits (Winter 2004) and remembered I had been wanting to make the "Te Rosado" sweater in that issue. The original sweater was knit out of La Lana Wool hand-dyed singles and it was pretty pricey. The knitting goddess apparently was looking over my shoulder when I bought the Plain and Fancy yarn at Estes - which also happens to be a hand-dyed sportweight singles, because I bought just enough to get this sweater out of it. Gauge for me was spot-on and I've gotten one sleeve totally finished, plus most of the back already (about another 2 inches to go before binding off the for shoulders). It's an easy lace knit and I really like the colors.
Good thing I'm holding myself back from starting another set of socks, eh? (Did I mention I got my loom warped over the 4th of July to start a horse blanket next? Yeah - we'll just ignore that one - THAT would be overkill.)
All for now.....
Yay! You're worse than I am! (I do wish I could say that I got something, anything warped over the 4th of July weekend...chicken to start #2 on my own!)

LOL... well, I just finished a pair of socks and the "chaos/squiggle" arch/curtains to my satisfaction. Now I can do anything I chose. I believe looking over you shoulder suits me just fine. :-)

Ah, yes. What would life be without at least 10 WIPs?
