Here's my finished 2 ounces of the super soft merino roving that came with the "Peppi" offering from November, I believe, of the Oceanwind Knits Fiber Club. You might recall (or not) that I've got another 2 ounces of a cashmere/merino blend from that same month to spin up as well.
Fiber Source: Oceanwind Knits Fiber Club, November 2009, selection. This was a superfine merino roving. Lori dyed us 2 ounces of this in pinks, and the 2 ounces of the cashmere/merino blend in greens.
Yardage/Weight: A 2-ply yarn, 18 wpi, with 265 yards in this skein.
Techniques: I spun this with a semi-worsted method, although I did not smooth the yarn down much after the twist went in. I did add a little extra twist into the singles, as I didn't want too much poofing up when I plied the yarn.
Notes: I was aiming for a light fingeringweight (this is pretty close, although pushing towards laceweight) for a pretty lace cowl/neckwarmer. Plenty of yardage for most of those patterns I have earmarked.
Next up, I'm tackling the 4 ounces of natural gray-brown CVM that Nancy at Long Ridge Farm sent me last spring when I picked one of the right dates for her lambing pool. The undyed roving will be a nice change from all the handpaints I've been spinning, I think.
All for now...
Yum, yum, yum! The softness of that yarn just shows up so well. It's warmth in a pile.

Oh that is lovely! I can't wait to see the green done. I think with the two together you will have a fantastic cowl (or whatever you decide to do with it in the end) :)

Laughing a bit here because I was thinking "YUM" as well, then I noticed Margene's comment. There's something about pink this time of year when we are anxious for Spring and for the pink flowers to bloom...
