Last week, I showed you the swap yarn I sent out to Talia, and this week, you get to see all the goodies she sent me.
Clockwise, above, she sent me:
- Just under 2 ounces of hand-carded, absolutely pristine, 30% angora bunny, 70% superfine merino wool batts. So beautifully soft and pet-able.
- A cute little tea cup and saucer, with beach roses and butterflies on it.
- A 231-yard skein of 2-ply handspun, DK weight, from Funky Carolina's superfine merino, in the What Light colorway. Yummy!
- And a bar of hand-made (made by herself) soap which smells devine.
Y'all, of course, want a close-up glam shot of the yarn, don't ya?
I'm thinking I might do a simple pair of mitts, like Toast, to really show off the pretty handspun colors. I think they'll be very warm and soft for the wintertime (or when in the AC currently).
All for now....
Ooo, it's all so pretty. Lucky you!

Lovely! The colors in the yarn remind me of the illustrations in Beatrix Potter books.

Angora? MMMM
Some of my very first, spindle spun, handspun was turned into fingerless mitts. I still wear and love them and get great compliments. It did not occur to me to make more. I have so many little skeins of handspun lying around. Thank you for the Toast idea! I see many holiday projects in my future.

Mmmmm. Nice stuff! I could see wrapping the teacup in the yarn and fiber.
