Having finished up my last stash-diving project, the Fireside Socks, I think I'm going to focus on a few small design projects over the next few months that I'd like to prioritize. I am currently in the final third or so of my final project for the Ennea summer edition, and right now, I'm focusing on getting that finished up so I can get the final pattern written up.
I did, however, cast on a smaller, portable design project, which I'm going to list as my new WIP project. I really like the Nimue yarn that I've been carrying in the shop - it's a 50/50 silk/merino blend and I think it is lovely for many things, but it's been sort of nudging me about working up a small shawl from it. I thought maybe a one-skein project would be a good starting point, something fairly simple, but easy to wear for summer with a bit of lace trim at the edge.
I'm working this up as a crescent-shaped shawlette. The body will be basic garter stitch, with a knit-on lace border at the bottom curved edge. The colorway is "Library", which is a little bit darker in real life than it reads here in the sun. It's a muted rosey-brown with some plum highlights.
I have no specific goals for this, except that I'd like to get "some" knitting done on it in the next week. If I can put in even a couple of nights of knitting on it, I think I'll be pretty close to getting ready to start the edging.
All for now....
Oh it is nice. I have never heard of Nimue before - I'll have to go check it out.

Shouldn't take long to zip through that garter stitch!

You'll have it finished by next week! It's pretty and the silk blend will be heavenly.
